Pictured Rock National Lakeshore from Land and Water

The Pictured Rock National Lakeshore is located in Munising, Michigan. A beautiful natural area long the shore of lake Superior. The town of Munising helps travelers visit it by offering hotels and fun places to eat. We started our day with some hiking along the pictured rocks, visiting the Miner's Castle and Beach area. This was fun, but doesn't really give the good views and full understanding of the pictured rocks. To get a better picture, we opted for a Pictured Rocks Boat Tour in the evening. In theory, this was a really good idea...however the boat was VERY full, literally 100% capacity. Add to that that other folks on the boat were loud and inconsiderate...and then it started raining. Overall, not ideal, but it did provide us with the views we hoped for!
