@erikm.9059 months agoYou don't know how much oil is already in the system though. To do it properly you would flush the system first, then add the manufacturer's recommended amount of oil 6

@davidsabin494610 months agoOr you recover then vacuum the system, put a lock fitting on the low side and add oil. Then you fill the system to specs. 3

@westlee1626one week agoWhat if your a/c compressor comes pre filled will this step need to be completed too? What will need to be done before removing and putting on a new one?

@zokieboi9 months agoEvery normal A/C service station (at least in EU) weights how much oil has evacuated and injects the appropriate amount of new PAG oil back in (and optionally some UV indicator) right before filling the system with refrigerant.... ...4

@condor563510 months agoShouldn’t you always replace the dryer when you’re evacuating the system? That’s what I’ve always heard.
