Jūrmala- Latvia Jūrmala is a Latvian resort city on the Gulf of Riga, just west of the capital, Riga. Baltische Riviera is about 25 km west of Riga. Jūrmala was a favorite holiday-resort and tourist destination for high-level Communist Party officials, particularly Leonid Brezhnev and Nikita Khrushchev.
