Swedish dance project and performance group Harlem Hot Shots, together with swing band Stockholm Swing All Stars. Live in Vitabergsparken, Stockholm, August 2019, as a part of Parkteatern. Filmed and edited by Martin Wirén. The show Decades of Jazz, takes the audience through swing dance history in an entertaining way. Music from Duke Ellington, Count Basie and more. Dances such as tap, charleston, lindy hop, jazz as well as influences from Mambo, Bebop and more. 1920s, 1930s, 1940s, 1950s. Their main focus lies in traditional african-american dance styles such as Tap dancing, the Charleston, Vernacular Jazz and the Lindy Hop. Their shows highlight the famous dances as well as remembers dancers and groups popular during the golden era of swing. A typical show consists of their own choreography but now and then also carefully recreated choreographies as tributes to the hot shots from Harlem during the era of swing.
