So friends this is the first sweet recipe I have prepared after my marriage…that to I call so many time to my mother for the detailed version,to confirm whether I am doing perfectly or not…
Recently my mom was showing my cooking videos to her friend…and that aunty asked whether your daughter uploaded Khira Saku recipe and they are searching for this recipe and din’t find it…phir kya my mom called me to confirm.When she gt to know I dint upload this recipe she insisted me to do fast recording of this and I started…
So many sweet memories are attached to this recipe…this sweet recipe is dedicated to my sweet mom..
Preparation Time 10 min
Cooking Time 40 to 45 min
Serving Persons 4to 6
Ingredients
1 cup soaked rice
1 cup sugar
4 cups milk
2 tbsp chopped dryfruits
1 tsp ghee for coating
Procedure
The rice is soaked for 3 to 4 hours.
Now grind the soaked rice with little water and make a thick batter type consisitency.
Boil the milk,when it starts boiling add sugar,dry fruits to this.
After 2 min sugat got melted,add the rice batter .
Simultaneously stir the milk to avoid lumps.
Now continuosly stir it,initially the milk and rice mixture is thin9watery type)
But after osme time it thickens up and have a semi thick consistency.
Now turn off the flame.
In between coat the frypan with ghee and keep on low flame.
Slowly put the batter in the fry pan and cook it for 12 to 15 min.
You can see it starts leaving the edges and a golden colour comes on bottom side of saku.
Carefully flip it and cook from other side also till it is little crispy.
Turn off flame,make it little cool down.
Remove to a plate,cut into equal size pieces.
You can store this for 3 to 4 days.
Notes
You can add kismis,sliced coconut also…to enhance the flavour.
If you want you can make a thin layer of batter …to make it more crispy.
Make the flame low and cover the lid while making the saku.
You can add equal amount of milk and water…by adding milk it rich in taste.
