Honda P0420 & P0430 Repair

I will be replacing the catalytic converters on a 2007 Honda Ridgeline. This is the J series engine so the repair would be very similar for the Pilot, Odyssey and V6 Accord or Acura TL. I will be using aftermarket direct fit parts from Dorman part numbers 674-849 and 674-850. The DTC codes are P0420, Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 1, and P0430 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 2. Bank 1 on the J Series is the rear catalytic converter and Bank 2 would be the front one. There are many ways to "skin the cat" and these are the methods that I use.
