Please check out our FUNDRAISER here: https://donorbox.org/support-queer-cuisine FOLLOW US: Instagram https://www.instagram.com/the_queer_cuisine Facebook https://www.facebook.com/queercuisine Website https://www.queer-cuisine.com Patreon https://www.patreon.com/queercuisine - Recipes – Sesame Roasted-Caramelized Tofu Strips 1 block semi-firm tofu (200g) 1 tbs coconut oil, 1 tbs sesame seeds 1 tbs agave syrup or maple syrup 2 tbs soy sauce. 1. Cut the tofu in 1cm thick strips. 2. Heat up the coconut oil in a non-sticky frying pan. Add the tofu and fry it until brown and a little bit crispy all from all sides, about 1-2 minutes per side. 3. Once golden and crispy, add the sesame seeds and roast them for 2 minutes. 4. Add the agave syrup and soy sauce to the frying pan. Move it around a bit, so all tofu strips get some of the liquid. Crunchy Almond-Polenta-Tofu 2 blocks of firm tofu (400g) 2 tbs chopped almond flakes 3 tbs polenta 3 tbs breadcrumbs 3 tbs flour (I used spelt flour) 2 tbs soy sauce 1 tsp onion powder 1 tsp garlic powder 1. Mix the chopped almond flakes with the polenta and breadcrumbs on a plate. Take a second plate and mix the flour with the onion and garlic powder and add the soy sauce and a tiny bit of water. About 1-2 tbs, depending on the type of flour you gonna use. 2. Cut the tofu blocks in about 1cm halves and brush them with the flour soy sauce mix and then coat them with the almond-polenta-mix generously from all sides. Do this with all the pieces before you put them in the frying pan. Otherwise you’ll risk that the first pieces might get burned. 3. Heat up a good amount of oil in a frying pan and make sure the oil is hot, before you place the tofu pieces in your pan. Fry the tofu from both sides until golden and crispy, round about 3-4 minutes from each side. Tofu Scramble 1 block semi-firm tofu (200g) ½ tsp curcuma/turmeric powder Salt & Pepper Veggies of choice (optional) 1. Cut the veggies into small pieces and fry them for 2-3 minutes in a non-sticky frying pan. Add the tofu by squeezing it into small pieces with your hand. Fry that mix for 2 minutes and keep stirring. 2. Add the spices and mix well. 3. Enjoy your 5-minutes homemade tofu scramble.
