Hilo is the largest city on the Big Island, Hawaii. Also, the city with the highest amount of rain in the United States. And driving on the Big Island can be very fun. In this vlog, you'll see our coast-to-coast drive - from Kailua-Kona to Hilo - and the amazing volcanoes along the road - Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea. When we arrive in Hilo we are surprised by amazing waterfalls, like the Akaka Falls, and the exuberant green nature. When you visit Hilo, chances are you'll experience some rain, but that doesn't mean you cannot have fun. There are so many things to do! For drier weather, check out Hawaii's island west coast, especially Kona and the Kohala Coast: /watch/8=xedni&Bq-AxevnYxN8OSoEgPYKL7oH5sGO81tULP=tsil&wKniXXkQ7b8Qe As the name suggests, Hawaii Big Island is the biggest island in the USA. ► Previous vlog: How to spend a day in Kona, Hawaii - /watch/9=xedni&Bq-AxevnYxN8OSoEgPYKL7oH5sGO81tULP=tsil&Yus0wxBGaoxGe ► All videos in Hawaii: /watch/Bq-AxevnYxN8OSoEgPYKL7oH5sGO81tULP=tsil&AGyJIAAFC40FA Watch this trip since the beginning 😉 🚩 This trip to Hawaii was in 2020, just before the pandemic. --- SUBSCRIBE to discover the world with us ► http://bit.ly/Renata_YouTube --- #RenataInHawaii #RenataInTheUSA #RenataInHawaiisBigIsland #RenataInNorthAmerica Hawaii Big Island: Kona to Hilo drive + things to do in Hilo - travel vlog 3 00:00 - About this vlog 00:43 - Driving from Kona to Hilo 01:49 - Mauna Loa volcano 02:26 - Mauna Kea volcano 05:47 - Arriving in Hilo & Naha Stone 07:04 - Drive to Akaka Falls & Akaka Falls 10:10 - Rainbow Falls 10:41 - Downtown Hilo: Kamehameha statue & Bayfront Park 12:52 - Banyan Drive 14:12 - Hotel 14:30 - Picnic at the park 16:13 - About Hilo and the Big Island Want to travel and create videos? I am a Brazilian-American journalist living in Florida. After traveling the world working with sports, news, and events for over 15 years, I realized that what I really love is the travel part of it all. So I exchanged life in the newsrooms and stadiums for the daily challenge of being an independent content producer. I created this channel to share the beauties of the world... stuff that for so long I only kept to myself. Also to help people planning similar trips and to inspire more people to venture out and enjoy life! P.S.: The funny guy who appears in the vlogs is my husband, Gordon. He is Canadian-American and he's actually camera-shy, that's why he's behind the camera most of the time 😉 --- NEW VIDEO ►►► https://goo.gl/rhM6Pw ---
