Shot on an antique 1943 Keystone Criterion 16mm camera, Crimes and Blooms is Douglas Joyman first song of his upcoming EP. Shot in the New York City streets, the film follows a lost man chasing his love in a dream-like journey. Alternating black and white and color sequences and recreating scenes from French New Waves films such as Band a part (1964) and Breathless (1960), the film portrays a man eternally lost in a romantic world between New York city and the Paris of his dreams. Music Video (2020) Directed and shot by Marco Villard Music: Douglas Joyman Assistant Director: Marie Calfat Nascimento & Fernanda Calfat Post production: Metropolis Post NYC Mix: Golden Dice studio Lyrics: How should I know that the world is spinning ? How should I know why am I afraid of love And I was born to turn you into a memory Changing the sun into crimes and blooms A bundle of desire stocked in my veins A ring of fire burning in my brain She knows the unknown world of the sea She reminds Me of the middle world that I’ve been all around Changing the sun into crimes I was born to turn you into a memory My bones are being driven by the western wind I want a door to all your dancing moves You laid on me when I was asleep I all along was seen as a fool I was born to turn you into a memory Burning on the memento of the world. https://www.instagram.com/douglasjoyman https://terrassebleuefilms.com/ Music on every platforms: https://songwhip.com/douglas-joyman/crimes-and-blooms-demo Music : © All rights reserved to Douglas Joyman Images : © All rights reserved to Marco Villard
